Meet Annette from Bloom and Rocket 🌸

“I chose to become a florist because flowers have always brought a smile to my face. After my husband passed away six years ago, I found myself at a crossroads — unsure of what to do next. 

After 16 years as a full-time mum, I wanted something creative and flexible that would still allow time with my teenage daughters. So, I enrolled in a floristry course, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. 

For the past two years, I’ve been proud to work at Bloom and Rocket — a beautiful florist that also offers stunning giftware, jewelry, and homeware. Every day feels special thanks to our small, dedicated team and the wonderful community around us. 

My favourite flower is the Oriental Lily — it was my wedding flower, and I still adore its fragrance and striking bloom. Whether arranged en masse or standing tall in a vase, it’s simply breathtaking. 

We’re truly grateful for our lovely customers who make Bloom and Rocket such a joyful place to be. Every visit, every chat, every familiar face — it all means the world.”
