Delivery will be made on the date requested and every effort will be made to meet requests as to preferred times, but only funeral deliveries can be specific with regard to time. 

Complaints must be made within 48 hours of delivery to the Interflora florist who delivered the order. 

Special delivery conditions apply to hospitals, hotels, ships, airports, funeral parlours, crematoria and cemeteries.

Cancellations or alterations to orders must be made within 24 hours of ordering. 

In situations where a recipient is not at home to accept your gift, our couriers will leave the item in a secure location if available at the delivery address. 

Where a secure location cannot be identified, our couriers will leave a “not at home” card in the letterbox of the delivery address advising your recipient to contact the delivering Interflora florist and the item will be returned to that florist. 

National flower supply continues to challenge our florists. It may be necessary to substitute some of the flowers, or containers in your order using a mix of our freshest in-store seasonal blooms. Why Care Matters

Flowers often endure a journey before they arrive, so those first few steps make a real difference. A little effort early on helps revive and sustain the blooms, so you can enjoy your arrangement for days, or even weeks.

Essential Care Steps

1. Trim the stems at an angle. When your flowers arrive, trim 2cm off each stem at a 45-degree angle with sharp scissors. This clears any blockage from transit and opens up a wider surface for water absorption, keeping the blooms hydrated.
2. Use room-temperature water. Fill a clean vase with room-temperature water — it's gentle on fresh stems and prevents shock. For blooms that look a little wilted, slightly warm water (around 38°C) can help perk them up initially.
3. Remove leaves below the waterline. Strip away any leaves that would sit underwater. Left on, they break down and encourage bacteria, which shortens the life of your arrangement.
4. Refresh the water regularly. Change the water every 2–3 days, and recut the stems by 1–2cm each time to keep them drinking freely.
5. Add preservative. If a sachet came with your flowers, use it as directed. No packet? Mix 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp bleach and 2 tsp lemon juice per litre of water.

• Avoid placing them near fruit, which releases ethylene and speeds up ageing.
