Same day flower delivery available
At Interflora, we’re proud to shine a light on the talented florists across our network who bring beauty and creativity into people’s lives every single day. This month, we’re delighted to feature Embassy Florist in Canberra, where floristry runs through generations and community connections bloom just as strongly as the flowers.
For Pierce, flowers have always been more than a profession — they’re part of his heritage. “I grew up in a floristry family. My grandmother was Elma Batley and my mother is Janine Batley. I have always been around flowers and I just cannot see a future without them,” he shares.
Located in the heart of the ACT, Embassy Florist has developed a trusted rapport with embassies across the region. The team is often called on to assist with special jobs at short notice — something not many florists can deliver with such precision and speed. This commitment to excellence has cemented Embassy Florist as a go-to for unique and urgent floral needs.
Among the many heartwarming customer stories, one regular stands out. Every Sunday, a loyal customer pops in to order three Tiger Lilies and two Carnations before heading next door for a Sunday Roast. Small moments like this are a reminder of how flowers become woven into personal rituals and cherished traditions.
When it comes to personal favourites, Tuberose holds a special place in Pierce’s heart. “When I first purchased my home, it was the season for it. It’s such a core memory for me now that whenever I see it at the markets, I’ll get some for myself.”
This year, Embassy Florist is proud to be part of Floriade, the city’s iconic tulip festival, by joining in the Community Treasure Hunt — a fun, Easter-inspired competition that adds even more magic to the floral celebration.
From family traditions to embassy connections, Pierce and the team at Embassy Florist are a true example of floristry rooted in community, heritage, and heart.
