The Mother’s Day Classic – this annual event will take place in every state across Australia raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Major events in Queensland will be held at the Cultural Forecourt, South Bank Parklands, Brisbane and Pratten Park, Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. Smaller regional events will also be held across the state.
Mother’s Day Breakfast or Luncheon at the Thyme2 Restaurant at the Sofitel in Brisbane Central – a long relaxing breakfast of savoury favourites or sweet pastries served with fresh juices, sparkling wine and barista coffee OR a seafood buffet followed by cheese plates and a chocolate fountain. Lunch also includes an exclusive performance by members of the Australian Youth Orchestra.
Breakfast or Lunch Cruise on The Kookaburra Showboat – one of Brisbane’s most iconic vessels is hosting the ultimate Mother’s Day cruise events this year. Enjoy a mouth-watering meal with spectacular water views of the city.
The Mother’s Day Classic - major events in NSW will be held at The Domain, Sydney and Parramatta Park, Western Sydney. Head to their website to find regional event locations and information.
Spoil mum with a cruise of Circular Quay – view the amazing Sydney Harbour while enjoying breakfast, High Tea, lunch, or dinner, with sparkling wine and entertainment.

The Mother's Day Classic will be held at Commonwealth Park from 7am. There are currently no other Mother's Day Classic events scheduled.
The Southern Cross Club will be hosting events in many of their clubs. For breakfast with views of Lake Burley Griffin head to the Yacht Club at Yarralumla, or book a Southern Cross Cruise breakfast or lunch.
Hyatt Hotel Canberra will also be hosting a buffet lunch or dinner with seafood and dessert stations. Our pick? The chocolate-themed Afternoon Tea with sparkling.
The Mother’s Day Classic major event will be held at Alexandra Gardens and the Tan Track, Melbourne, with smaller regional events all over the state.
High Tea Buffet at the Melbourne Marriott Hotel – an annual event, this year’s High Tea Buffet will be just as lovely with decadent desserts, crepe station, chocolate fountains, boutique teas and freshly brewed coffee.
Lunch Cruise on the Yarra – board The Spirit of Melbourne for lunch or dinner and take in the beautiful scenery. Hot tip – the views are even better at night when the city lights up!
Mother’s Day Dinner for the National Breast Cancer Foundation – this extraordinary plant based dinner hosted at the Serotonin Eatery is for a great cause and if your mum is a fan of healthy meals she will love this event.
Adelaide’s Mother’s Day Classic - will be held at Peace Park with smaller regional events in various locations.
Little Heroes Foundation Mother’s Day Luncheon – hosted at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide, this event features a two course lunch with wine and dessert buffet, guest speakers, live music, and a fashion parade. Mum will have a great day and get to support a wonderful cause.
Mother’s Day Lunch at the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia – enjoy a three course lunch with sparkling wine overlooking the marina.
The Mother’s Day Classic - major event to be held at Mindil Beach, Darwin with a couple of smaller events across the state.
Mother’s Day Saltwater Craft Fair – taking place the Sunday before Mother’s Day (7th May) so that you can pick up a present for mum in advance, this event is well loved by Darwin locals. Over 60 artists and craftspeople will be selling a variety of wares including jewellery, clothing, candles, and homewares.
The Mother’s Day Classic event will be held at Domain Athletics Centre, Hobart. At time of writing, there were no confirmed regional events for Tasmania.
Mother’s Day Luncheon – held at Hobart Town Hall, this annual event launches this year’s Save the Children’s State of the Worlds’ Mother’s report and raise funds to aid vulnerable children and families across Tasmania. Enjoy gourmet food and bubbles, entertainment and hear from ‘Lion’ mum Sue Brierley as guest speaker.
