A mix-tape might be an old-school way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, but who’s to say it’s not the ideal way to show you care? Whether you’re celebrating the love you have for your friends, family members or partners this Valentine’s Day, mixed love songs you can play with and for them are a cute way to show them how much they mean to you!

So, however you decide to celebrate 14th February 2021, these tunes will set the mood, and make them feel loved and cherished.

"Love Me Now" by John Legend

Didn’t think we could make a V-day playlist without the romantic ballad king, John Legend. This version of “Love Me Now” is raw, powerful and gorgeous about perfectly living in the present with that one person. Let this song speak for itself and give your lover an idea of how special this moment in time is.

"I'll Be There" by Mariah Carey

This soul classic is what beautiful promises are made of. This song was originally sung by The Jackson 5 and re-recorded by Mariah Carey later. Dedicate this song to that special someone – could even be your mom, sister or your childhood friend and let them know you’ll be there whenever they call your name for comfort and strength.

"Perfect" by Ed Sheeran

We think there’s no better way to tell your partner they look perfect tonight than playing them this tear-jerker acoustic hit. It’s a sweet yet simple melody that depicts the magic of love. Ed’s “Perfect” has become a go-to choice for couples first dance at weddings and it’s very obvious to see why.

“Your My Best Friend” by Queen

Music has a way of saying all the things we find hard to articulate or express. And this song by the British rock group, Queen, does exactly that. Whether your partner happens to be your BFF, or your cousin is your ride-or-die, we guarantee this song will convey all your admiration and compassion for them, for they’ve stood by you in rain or shine…

"Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars serves some serious romantic feels with this hit love song and sets the tone of gratitude and awe as a celebration of you and yours, just the way you are. This track about appreciating your lover just the way they are is a charming way to start your Valentine's Day. No playlist is complete without at least one stream of this.

“Count on Me" by Bruno Mars

Another great tune by Bruno Mars that hits all the right notes. The upbeat melody is cheery but keeps the mood from getting too emotional. You don’t need to be each other’s lover to listen to this. Play this fun song for that friend in your life that reassures you, that no matter what the hardship or struggle they will always be there for you. 'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah…

"Endless Love" by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie

Your Valentine's Day playlist has to have this classic hit as the iconic Diana Ross and Lionel Richie team up to give us one of the greatest love duets of all time. This perfect ballad is one of the more popular songs of the 80’s that gives meaning to the word love as the lyrics declare their "endless love" for one another. It’s just the way to make sure you convey your feelings for your significant other.

“Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley

While this goosebump-inducing classic has been covered numerous times, even many years later, it's hard to find a version that matches the emotional connect originally sung by Elvis Presley. Presley's beautiful lyrics can bring a smile to any face and make one shed tears of happiness. It wouldn’t be a love songs playlist without this 1961 classic and deserves a spot on every romantic playlist for good reason.
