Lunar New Year is an action-packed, exhilarating, joyous, and colourful occasion that will fall on the 10th of February 2024, this year. It marks the start of the Lunar calendar year and is celebrated across several Asian countries. The Chinese New Year is also celebrated on the same day as the Lunar New Year which makes an even bigger festivity to welcome every new year.

The colour red is a very symbolic colour in Chinese culture. Red symbolises good fortune and joy. Red envelopes, or ‘Hong Bao’ containing money are often seen presented at special occasions, such as birthdays, weddings or Lunar New Year. The colour yellow is also associated with abundance, power, victory, and prosperity. This is why Chinese New Year flowers and Lunar New Year flowers are mostly arranged in red and yellow colours to symbolise the celebration of a new year, and welcoming good luck for everyone this 2024.

Red is also prominently reflected in our flower arrangements, gifts baskets and hampers. One of our most popular Lunar New Year flowers is our ‘Prosperity’ arrangement, presented in a stylish ceramic vase. With our collection of Lunar New Year flowers, you could also select from these stylish arrangements that would make perfect Chinese New Year flowers for your home or a thoughtful gift for your loved ones.
